Mr McKenic® – Heat Transfer Fluid, is formulated with a combination of inhibited propylene glycol and superior corrosion protection package. Suitable for use in heating or cooling fluid processes where operating temperatures range from -45℃ to 150℃, in undiluted concentrations.

Heat Transfer Fluid: Mr McKenic® – Heat Transfer Fluid can be used as a water-based corrosion preventive additive for the protection of metal in industrial watera. It is highly soluble in water and has the ability to protect at extremely low concentration level.

Direction for use

For heat transfer applications:

  1. Ensure that the system is cleaned before application.
  2. Depending on the capacity required, pour an appropriate amount of Mr McKenic®- Heat Transfer Fluid directly into the system. Refer to Table given in the product catalog.
  3. For optimum performance, Mr McKenic®- Heat Transfer Fluid can be added directly without further dilution.

For hydrostatic test & corrosion preventive applications

Add at least 0.5% of Mr Mckenic®- Heat Transfer Fluid into water to be used for the hydrostatic test or for the final rinse of the cleaned metal parts.

APPLICATIONS

Mr McKenic® - Heat Transfer Fluid is widely used in refrigeration systems, HVAC/R, line heaters, plastic extrusions, cooling or heating processes, line production Areas etc. Formulated to protect metals from corrosion, Mr McKenic® - Heat Transfer Fluid can be diluted with water used during hydrostatic testing.

Mr McKenic®- Magic Rust Converter is a supreme product that converts rust (new and old) into a protective black polymeric coating that adheres firmly to metal surfaces, preventing further corrosion. In most cases, end users remove the rust from the metal surface by sand-blasting/grinding. Despite the tediousness of the procedure, rust resurfaces within a short period of time as the surface is still exposed to elements of environment, mainly moisture and oxygen. Mr McKenic® —Magic Rust Converter offers an effective yet simpler procedure by converting the existing rust into an inert coating that seals up the metal surface from moisture and oxygen. After the conversion, there exists a strong molecular bondage between the converted layer and metal surface, making it very difficult to be removed. As a result, the rust stops spreading and the duration of protection is much extended. It makes a wonderful 'touch-up' tool where re-painting may not be required. However, for aesthetic purposes, surface can be painted over.

It adheres well to the metal and does not peel or blister readily, making it easy to apply as a quick alternative to hot-dip galvanising. As a zinc-rich paint, Mr McKenic® - Zinc Galvanising Compound can be applied to metal of any size and shape, though its application may be difficult on inaccessible areas. It can be used as a primer to 2- or 3-layer coat systems and as a top coat for corrosion protection.
